That being said though, there's certainly grain management going on. So, in a nutshell: Huge upgrade over the blu-ray in terms of natural detail and definitely one of Paramount's better encodes. It's been said that this film is Hughes' love letter to Chicago and I'd have to agree. It has perfect pacing and the comedic tone works wonderfully.

I love this movie so much, it's always been my favourite John Hughes film.

Popped the disc in my player last night and only planned to skim through a few scenes but ended up watching the film in its entirety.
